Contra Costa County Alcohol & Other Drugs Services, and the Behavioral Health Division provide behavioral health services to Contra Costa County Residents. These services range from outpatient counseling, residential treatment, and medically assisted treatment. To access these services please call:

  • The Behavioral Health Access Line which provides screenings for treatment & referrals information to the general public. The Behavioral Health Access Line also provides referrals to prevention programs.

A3 is Contra Costa County’s innovative approach to provide timely and appropriate mental and behavioral health crisis services to anyone, anywhere, at anytime in the County.

ANGELO QUINTO COMMUNITY RESPONSE TEAM - ANTIOCH

Angelo Quinto Community Response Team (AQCRT) provides a 24/7 community response to low-level, non-life-threatening 911 calls. In collaboration with the City of Antioch, the Antioch Police Department, and local community-based organizations, the trained staff provides community members with mental health support, service linkage, and lifesaving skills.

Community members in the city of Antioch experiencing a mental health emergency or community concern are encouraged to call 911 for emergencies or 925-778-2441 for non-emergencies. Dispatch will coordinate our team to arrive to your aid.

CHOOSING CHANGE CLINIC - CONTRA COSTA HEALTH SERVICES

The Choosing Change clinic provides treatment and empowers people who want to stop using opioids. Patients receive dedicated support from a compassionate and knowledgeable medical team. 

The clinic offers a holistic approach to treatment:

  • Choosing Change patients use buprenorphine (also known as Suboxone), which reduces craving and withdrawal symptoms.
  • Patients receive group therapy and medical visits from a team of doctors or nurse practitioners, nurses, mental health counselors and community health workers.
  • Patients meet one-on-one with their care team for support, counseling and connections to other recovery services.

How To Join

Choosing Change is an option for people who have been diagnosed with Opiate Use Disorder (OUD) and want to stop using.

This program is available to patients with Medi-Cal, Contra Costa Health Plan, or Medicare, including Part D. If your insurance is different, please talk to your healthcare provider about other treatment options.

HEALTHY START -- CONTRA COSTA HEALTH SERVICES

Healthy Start provides pregnant mothers comprehensive prenatal care and education to have a healthy baby. The Healthy Start care team includes a provider, registered nurses, registered dietitian, medical social worker, community health worker and counselors.

The Healthy Start program offers perinatal substance use disorder treatment services and resources. They act as the liaison between a pregnant woman and the services needed to provide the child a healthy start and the mother a healthy pregnancy. They coordinate initial prenatal appointments and referrals to programs for pregnant women ( i.e. WIC). Additionally, they make referrals as needed, offers genetic counseling, prenatal testing, brief counseling on substance abuse issues and community outreach.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-noon, 1-4pm; Pregnancy Test hours vary, call for information

Eligibility: Pregnant women, Contra Costa resident; US Citizenship is not required.

Description: Provides a safe home for young people whose circumstances do not permit them to live with their families or guardians. Each of the two Level 14 group homes is equipped to care for up to six residents with emotional and behavioral disabilities, who are constantly and closely supervised by dedicated teams of Teacher-Counselors. The staff are all trained in pediatric and adult First Aid/CPR and in Professional Assault Response Training (PART), and work in close collaboration with licensed clinicians.
